Europe’s Stolen Voice PACE’s Lack of Common Sense and Cynicism are Largely the Result of US Pressure-Sergey Naryshkin

Prologue
In the recent state of the union address, obama made claim to having left in tatters the Russian economy. This served as the mantlepiece of his regimes accomplishments and was the focus of western media review of his speech. Previous to obamas boast, his underling biden had spoken of having to apply pressure to reluctant european governments in order to impose sanctions on Russia. The stated goal of US FP is to isolate the worlds largest country and 8th largest economy. There remains few who deny that the US government, agents, NGOs, and controlled financial networks were not responsible for the coup ‘d eat in Ukraine (Feb. 2014). The fact that this constitutes unlawful violation of a host of international laws and treaties appears to be of no concern to those who have condemned Russia for so called aggression. The reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia has frustrated US designs and set into motion a series of measures designed to make Russia pay the consequences for maintaining the peace on a peninsula which has historicaly been the scene of epic battles and great sacrifice. Apparently the masterminds who plotted the coup were under the assumption that Russia would vacate their Black Sea Fleet HQ and turn the keys over to NATO. The coup in Kiev was illegal and brought to power at the barrel of a gun. The threatening nature of this band of thugs and extremists which served as washingtons tool caused shock and alarm to Crimeas inhabitants as well as Russian speaking people throughout SE Ukraine. Odessa Trade Union Building 2 May 2014 became the defining moment for citizens to take action in order to save their families lives from the murders and mayhem which occured there. The events concerning this cruel act of barbarity went largely unnoticed in the west. Kievs claim of investigation is belied by the widespread celebrations that ensued during as well as after by Ukrainian political figures and general public. Petro poroshenko even used a scene from the burning building in a political advertisement for his election. The murders of at least 48 people were viewed as a victory.
Proclaiming death to Russians and referring to them as sub-human, the first act of the newly installed Rada was to make the Russian language illegal. Even now the fact that over 800,000 Ukrainian citizens have fled their country and sought safety in Russia goes unreported because it undercuts the false narrative of the Russian aggression mantra being systematicly conveyed in every newspaper on every television and in every opinion column throughout western media.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has just completed its regular session. Of the many issues on the agenda, the voting rights of the Russian delegation was definitely the most salient. It lurked just beneath the surface and came up in all discussions – from the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz–Birkenau concentration camp to the report on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine – proving once again that not a single major challenge currently facing Europe can be addressed without Russia’s active participation. The Russian delegation worked hard throughout the session, and not only during plenary meetings. On the eve of the start of the session, we attended yet another meeting (the third in the last six months) of PACE’s Presidential Committee.
Most of its members favoured restoring Russia’s voting rights, but they were ultimately unable to get this message across to the Assembly, which remains under the sway of frantic, rabid anti-Russian propaganda disseminated by a group of aggressive Russophobes. This determined the outcome of the vote on the powers of the Russian delegation. Stefan Schennach, Chairperson of the Monitoring Committee, one of PACE’s most influential committees, later openly called the result “stupid” and the pressure against Russia “senseless.” However, the grim business had already been taken care of. I should add that I was the only speaker of a national parliament in attendance. During the plenary meetings, I could not help thinking that I was witnessing something genuinely absurd, incompatible with elementary logic and the natural human desire for peace and prosperity for one’s people and family. This lack of common sense and cynicism are largely the result of pressure from the US, which openly acts as an aggressor seeking to repartition the world. But European politicians and parliamentarians have made it easier in recent years for the US to act in such an arrogant manner.
Ten days before the Russian delegation arrived in Strasbourg, a paragraph was added to the resolution of the European Parliament, which read “closer EU-US cooperation in Ukraine-related policies would be beneficial.” A more candid acknowledgement of this pathological dependency is hard to imagine. The months of criminal silence regarding the humanitarian crisis in the southeast of Ukraine are a vivid example of double standards. The State Duma issued a special declaration back in May 2014, calling on all European parliamentarians to pay attention to the crisis and put an end to it, which apparently fell on deaf ears. In my opinion, the reason is that this would have entailed acknowledging the root cause. Our foreign colleagues eschewed this sensitive issue at the first two meetings of PACE’s Presidential Committee, despite declaring that they are open to dialogue. It was at this January session of the Assembly that speakers started mentioning the horrible figures reported by the UN, and made a big deal of the unprecedented number of refugees. But did all this wailing amount to anything? Of course not. There were no decisions to provide immediate assistance or demands that the Ukrainian authorities hold the real culprits accountable. Human rights-based approaches immediately devolved into empty declarations. Moreover, blatant lies about the developments in Donbas went hand in hand with accusations against Russia, which is not a party to the conflict. Even when PACE learned that 800,000 Ukrainians had fled to Russia in less than a year, they didn’t care enough to acknowledge that these people are seeking refuge in our country from the deadly threat posed by the Ukrainian military. People tend to flee enemies and turn to friends for protection. In another appalling episode, the Russian delegation wasn’t permitted to make a statement during a session on the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, under the pretext that the programme was already set (such worthless references to protocol have become the typical response to any internal issue within PACE). Russia, the direct successor of the state that liberated the camp, was not allowed to speak on the occasion. I didn’t see any signs of shame in the expressions of PACE bureau members. The liberators weren’t even mentioned during the session.
Not a single word! The President of the Assembly couldn’t find space for it in her opening remarks, which were quite lengthy. The other two speakers, a former prisoner of the concentration camp and a representative of a youth organisation, also failed to mention it. It was as if the surviving prisoners were saved from death by some kind of miracle, not the courage and sacrifice of Soviet soldiers. Not a single word of praise was addressed to the country that sacrificed 27 million lives to win the war! In the end, the celebration by PACE of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz left us with a strange feeling and, to put it bluntly, a bad taste in the mouth. PACE’s reputation as a common European platform for dialogue is rapidly waning. Today members of national delegations are being attacked at its doors (which happened to our colleagues from KPRF); tomorrow the same could happen in the plenary hall. The number of fringe politicians is growing, while the leadership of the Council of Europe is not willing to respond to their actions in an adequate manner. Despite all this, our interactions with the heads of the Assembly’s political groups, within its Presidential Committee and during their increasingly frequent visits to Moscow, have borne some fruit. This could be clearly seen during the roundtable discussion on the crisis of confidence, which we initiated in the Council of Europe.
Most speakers emphasised that dialogue is needed during crises like never before. Such a prominent politician as former PACE President Rene van der Linden forcefully insisted “that all be ensured the right to speak and fully carry out their work without seeking to impress ‘neighbours of our neighbours.’” Dividing lines have resurfaced, but it will be impossible to ensure European security, including in Ukraine, without Russia, he said. To be honest, the sincere words I heard from many foreign colleagues made me wonder why the Assembly is still dominated by a majority that is at once aggressive and obedient. Why does the majority fail to heed the voices of other colleagues or the voice of reason? Maybe Andreas Gross, the leader of one of the political groups, was right when he said that trust in Europe doesn’t need to be restored, but rather built, because there was never any trust to begin with. I think he’s right, but not entirely, as Russia has been sincere and open about its intentions to meet Europe halfway. And I don’t think that we were alone in this aspiration. Unfortunately, the events of recent months have forced us to rethink many things, including whether many of Russia’s partners – who chose to tether European policy to another continent – are reliable. It was a strange choice, to say the least: Europe is far from a novice in geopolitics, and at various times has strongly asserted its right to independence. Perhaps the turning point came several decades ago, when Europe opened its doors to US military bases, which are only formally affiliated with NATO, as the United States accounts for two thirds of NATO’s budget, according to experts.
Today, European leaders are urged to sign onto illegal anti-Russian sanctions. A year ago, European foreign ministers guaranteed with their signatures an agreement between the legitimate, elected president of Ukraine and the opposition, and then refused to implement it. Essentially, they signed off on the bloodshed on Maidan Square, in Odessa and in eastern Ukraine. To our great regret, they were quick to shelve the project to build a Greater Europe, along with efforts toward visa-free travel and other important arrangements. Were the two decades of sincere cooperation between Russia and Europe no more than a game rigged in one team’s favour? Nevertheless, I remain optimistic. Great achievements are always borne of great challenges. Russia has seen so many that we know all too well that it is impossible to alter history with lies and distortion. I’m confident that security on the continent has not become an empty phrase for responsible European politicians.
The parliamentary systems of these countries date back many centuries, and no procedural manoeuvring, disregard for international law or doublespeak can destroy these age-old values. Even during this extremely difficult PACE session, we clearly saw a growing recognition that there is no alternative to working with Russia, which is a European nation by virtue of geography and culture. Reason will prevail in the end.

Russia Forced To Take Countermeasures In Response To New Sanctions

TULA, September 01./ITAR-TASS/. Russia will take countermeasures in retaliatory to the West’s new sanctions, Federation Council (upper house) chairperson Valentina Matviyenko said on Monday.

“We have serious steps and countermeasures if the spiral of sanctions is widen,” she said, adding that Russia did not support such measures.
However, she said if Western politicians forced Russia to take retaliatory measures “it will be a hell to pay”.
“The EU rhetoric changed” after Russia banned imports of beef, pork, poultry, fish, cheese, dairy products, fruit and vegetables from Australia, Canada, Norway, the US and the EU for one year on August 7.

rasmussen -The Pied Piper of Europe

Only with a reference from the mind of a fruit fly could NATO claim “long-standing ” ties with Ukraine.  rasmussen the Führer of NATO apparently has such a mind as he makes the bombastic claims as the unelected leader of western forces visited Kiev and received a medal from poroshenko for his help in covering up the Juntas war crimes.

Previously rasmussen had expanded the  NATO mission to include his self appointed arbitration of democratic elections, which  coming from someone who himself is totally beyond the bounds of democracy, is the height of cynicism. 
Since before an investigation even began into MH17, rasmussen and his ilk rolled out a complex and pre-planned media blitz complete with a miraculous conclusion which some would conclude as a far fetched conspiracy theory or attribute to  clairvoyance, however it would suggest a far more sinister reason; a false flag operation in order to cast Putin as the devil incarnate.
The NATO interference into the MH17 investigation is observed by rasmussens constant repetition of guilt assigned to President Putin without the burden of having to produce even a shred of credible evidence.
  The case of the mysterious Buk anti-aircraft surface to air radar missle system (four components- each one mounted on a large truck) and the technicians to operate it moving from Russia to Ukraine and back again at breakneck speed and stealth sounds like something from a sci-fi comic book and  is at best implausible.
Meant to produce momentum for European support of  sanctions this NATO  fortuitous (“game changer”) a tragedy to humanity #MH17 seems to have produced a herd mentality. (lemmings) Even the Neutral State of Switzerland changed course.
Occupied Germany the monetary HQ of the EU has been ordered by the cabal  to keep up pressure on reluctant EU member states after reminding the Swiss that their franc has been pegged to the Euro since 2011.  rasmussen deserves a medal?- yes, one for being the Pied Piper of the European Ratsunion as they sally forth behind his skillful  flute playing for their march to destiny. 

Europe escaped the yoke of fascism in the 1940s only to see it reemerge unchallenged 70 years later.  NATO is the fascist military organization that was hitlers dream with a power to make myths from thin air.

SWISS NEUTRALITY RIP 1815-2014

Switzerland long known as a nation of neutrality has no longer any claim for that title.Having succumbed to the economic threats from the US/EU (previously known for putting Swiss banks hundreds of years old out of business ) the economic war being waged by the western banksters against Russia and to a larger extent responding to the creation of BRICS Development Bank in a 21st century struggle to preserve the petro-dollar; the swiss have chosen the side of a belligerent. The swiss franc now pegged to the eurodollar (2011) has added to the defacto surrender of neutrality.

The Swiss government has extended sanctions to include 26 people in Russia and Ukraine, as well as 18 organizations, so the country isn’t used as a channel to avoid EU and US sanctions.

Switzerland itself hasn’t imposed any sanctions, but some of the EU measures will now apply in the country which is surrounded by the European Union.

The Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research released a list of those affected on Tuesday, and said it was because of Russia’s perceived intervention in the Ukraine crisis.

Now, over 87 individuals and 20 companies are banned from transferring assets into Switzerland or starting new business relationships. A travel ban also exists.

The new names include Donetsk People’s Republic’s VicePremierAlexander Boroday and the Security Minister Alexander Khodakovsky, top Russian security officials such as former Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov and Nikolai Patrushev, and Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov.

The sanctions come into effect on August 5 at 8:00pm Moscow time.

Switzerland is home to an estimated $15.2 billion in Russian assets as of 2012, and oil exchanges in Geneva account for 75 percent of Russian crude exports, Reuters reports. Many Russians live in the country.

Over the weekend, Switzerland’s Economy Minister Johann Schneider-Ammann said his country wouldn’t simply duplicate EU sanctions against Russia. Choosing a side in the conflict discredits the country’s role as a mediator, the minister said.

The EU toughened its stance on Russia last week when it announced sanctions targeting Russia’s banking, energy, and defense technology sectors.

Known for its neutrality, Switzerland has delayed imposing sanctions, and didn’t heed America’s call in March to respond and sanction Russia over Crimea’s reunification with Russia.

The EU’s sectorial sanctions are its most serious step against Russia to date. European leaders have been increasing pressure on the Russian government for several months by imposing visa bans and asset freezes on a number of individuals the EU considers responsible for Moscow’s policy toward Ukraine.

At this point, the debt of this country has for services rendered totaled 7.238 billion dollars on arms deliveries and 586.7 million dollars for programs of technical assistance.

Внешне ТОС-1 выглядит как танк Т-72, башня которого заменена пакетом направляющих, вмещающих тридцать 220-мм ракет. Каждая из них оснащена объемно-детонирующей боевой частью с термобарической смесью. Попав в цель, такой заряд распыляет химический аэрозоль, который мгновенно заполняет жилые помещения, укрытия и взрывается, создавая температуру в тысячу градусов.

Удар «Солнцепека» похож на Апокалипсис: гектары выжженной земли, оплавленная техника, здания и ни одной живой души. Весь пакет из 30 ракет одна установка ТОС-1 выпускает всего за 7,5 секунд.

«Солнцепек» только что принят на вооружение российской армии. А контракт на поставку оружия «Апокалипсиса» был подписан с Багдадом на прошлой неделе в Москве во время визита министра обороны Ирака Саадуна ад-Дулейми.

Соглашение стоимостью в 1 млрд долларов, помимо тяжелых огнеметных систем «Солнцепек», предусматривает поставку крупной партии артиллерийского и минометного вооружения. Кроме того, Россия поставит в Ирак три дивизиона реактивных систем залпового огня «Град», такое же количество 152-миллиметровых гаубиц «Мста-Б» и значительное число минометов.

Одновременно предусмотрена поставка большого количества боеприпасов к этим системам, причем упор делается на закупку наиболее простых – неуправляемых, что свидетельствует о том, что иракские военные планируют бить «по площадям», не особо заботясь об эффективности огня. Закуплена Ираком также партия гранатометов и противотанковых ракет. Все это вооружение и боеприпасы будут частично изготовлены, а частично поставлены из наличия российских Вооруженных сил.

Сделка не просто демонстрирует эффективность системы военно-технического сотрудничества Москвы с иностранными партнерами, но и лишний раз доказывает, что, когда дело касается возвращения на утраченные ранее рынки вооружений и военной техники, Россия может действовать крайне резко и эффективно. За последний месяц это уже вторая поставка вооружения Багдаду. Причем сделанная на фоне деклараций Вашингтона о военно-технической поддержке правительства Ирака.

США не первый месяц обещают поставить в страну необходимое вооружение и военную технику для противодействия исламскому движению «Исламский халифат». Бойцы этой террористической организации контролируют весь север страны и вплотную приблизились к ее столице – Багдаду. Однако дальше слов Вашингтон не продвинулся. Этим и воспользовалась Москва, поставившая в начале прошлого месяца в Ирак партию из 10 фронтовых штурмовиков Су-25.

По данным газеты ВЗГЛЯД, машины были поставлены из стратегического запаса Минобороны России. Несмотря на то, что самолеты имели весьма потрепанный вид, как сообщили в компании «Сухой», все они уже принимают непосредственное участие в боевых операциях иракской армии против исламистов.

Поставка тяжелого артиллерийского вооружения имеет несколько иной характер. В отличие от Су-25, тяжелая огнеметная система «Солнцепек», 152-миллиметровая гаубица «Мста-Б» – относительно новые системы вооружения, которые только стали поступать в распоряжение российской армии. Их невозможно «снять с хранения» и бросить в бой. Из чего можно сделать вывод, что Багдад получил технику, предназначенную Минобороны России и выпущенную в рамках госпрограммы вооружения. Это делает российско-иракские отношения в сфере военно-технического сотрудничества совершенно особыми. Ни одной другой стране, имеющей статус стратегического партнера, Москва не делала таких «подарков».

До 1990 года Ирак считался главным покупателем российского вооружения и техники. Причем именно покупателем, так как всегда четко платил по счетам «живой валютой» или нефтью. С 1958 по 1990 годы на контрактах с Багдадом Москва заработала 30,5 млрд долларов. До начала вторжения в Кувейт Ирак успел выплатить за поставленное вооружение и военную технику 22,413 млрд долларов (8,152 млрд долларов нефтью).

Кроме того, за обучение иракских специалистов, ремонт спецтехники и прочую военно-техническую помощь было перечислено 950 млн долларов. В ходе выполнения программ «технического содействия в создании объектов военного назначения и предприятий оборонного назначения» Москва получила дополнительно еще 900 млн долларов.

Всего за время военно-технического сотрудничества в Ирак было экспортировано 4630 танков (в том числе 1038 современных Т-72), 2810 БМП, 2714 БТР, 3279 артсистем, 725 противотанковых ракетных комплексов (в том числе «Конкурс» и «Фагот»). Для ПВО было поставлено 325 зенитно-ракетных комплексов (ЗРК) различных типов, в том числе 1593 переносных типа «Игла». В Ирак было поставлено 1145 боевых и транспортных самолета, 348 вертолетов и 41 боевой корабль.

В области развития военной промышленности при участии российских и югославских специалистов в городе Юсуфия был построен завод по лицензионному производству гаубиц, завод «Кадысия» – производство пулеметов и автоматов Калашникова. В городе Искандерия – завод «Хаттин» по производству артиллерийских боеприпасов к орудиям полевой, зенитной и танковой артиллерии, а также реактивных систем залпового огня. В этом же городе был построен завод «Алькакаа», на котором Ирак мог производить пироксилиновые пороха и твердое ракетное топливо различных марок, а также завод по производству авиационных боеприпасов и бомб.

Всего за время сотрудничества Москва передала Багдаду более 60 лицензий на самостоятельное производство вооружений и военной техники. Из них было реально запущенно производство по 30 лицензиям, в том числе по сборке танков Т-72М1 в городе Таджи. Однако после начала второй иракской войны все эти контракты были заморожены. На этот момент долг этой страны за уже оказанные услуги составил 7,238 млрд долларов по поставкам вооружений и 586,7 млн долларов по программам технического содействия.

Забавным в сделке по тяжелому ракетно-артиллерийскому вооружению может быть и то, что Ирак фактически покупает его на американские деньги. Например, в 2013 году Ирак заказал в России 36 вертолетов Ми-28НЭ и более 40 зенитно-пушечных ракетных систем «Панцирь-С» на сумму около 4,2 млрд долларов. Сейчас, пользуясь тем, что Вашингтон не способен удовлетворить потребность страны в современном вооружении и военной технике, в критической для безопасности страны ситуации Багдад снова обратился к Москве.

Для России это может быть очень символично. В условиях введения все новых и новых санкций со стороны США и Европейского союза Москва не только находит новые рынки сбыта военной продукции, но и делает это в странах, ориентированных в последние годы на Вашингтон, и за его же деньги. Говорят, друг познается в беде. В сложившейся ситуации что для Ирака, что для Москвы контракты в военно-технической сфере – взаимовыгодная поддержка и помощь.

The Energy Race and Why Russia is Winning

Russian dominance in fields of the energy sectors is not limited to fossil fuels.  The “fast breeder” technologies which are gaining international interest coupled with the implementation and distribution of relatively clean source reactors in areas of the globe not hitherto using nuclear energy offer an alternative in the field of energy production. 

While the west is mired in the fracking debacle (which is environmentally unsound as scientific studies done in North America have shown to cause earthquakes and contaminate aquifers and fresh water sources) Russia is leading the free world in alternatives to fossil fuel based energy sources and offers a cleaner and safer approach in nuclear based energy production.
Clearly the challenges to the petro -dollar based economy are viewed as an economic threat by interests who place profits ahead of innovation and advancement; preferring instead to continue the “Fukushima Model”.
The expected surge in maratime shipping through northern Arctic regions is also anticipated and planned for by Russian scientists and economists which is yet another reason for the west to  attempt their “isolationist” policies.
If the sixties competition between the west and Russia (SU)  was defined as the “Space Race” the emerging and increasingly apparent competition now is the “Energy Race” which the west as proponents of 20th century technologies are far behind.

Technology is called ion-selective sorption. It is a unique purely Russian development and reduces the amount of radioactive waste to be disposed of 50 times, say at the plant. And that is the result of such processing is a salt melt, not belonging to the category of radioactive waste. Under certain circumstances it may be an industrial raw material source.

To ensure their neighbors year-round navigation in the Arctic and provide effective navigation along the Northern Sea Route, Russia, as previously reported, has started construction of a new generation of nuclear-powered icebreakers. The first of three ships in this series since 2013 is built on the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg. With the same shipyard contracts for the next two.

According to the plan the new icebreakers will put into operation with the 2017-2018 period. Until that time, the entire burden will fall on the four currently operating nuclear ship “Vaygach”, “Taimyr”, “Yamal” and “50 Years of Victory”.

– On this trip I was in two persons – as Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the International Organizations in Vienna and the elected Chairman of the Board of Governors. Therefore with great pleasure accepted the invitation of “Rosatom” and joined a group of colleagues from 14 countries. My task as ambassador defined tasks that derive from agreements between Vietnam and Russia in the field of nuclear energy. It was important to see another operating NPPs in Russia, to meet with its characteristics and the important experience that is obtained in the processing of radioactive waste. This is a common problem for the nuclear industry, and the solutions found by experts Kola NPP, seem to me valuable. I think that they are already in demand in many countries will be needed tomorrow.

I am optimistic and confident about the future of cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the field of nuclear energy. And wanted to see as soon as possible in his country a nuclear power plant, similar to Kola. I hope that the progress towards this goal will also help our visit. After the accident at the nuclear power plant “Fukushima” all over the world pay more attention to security. With regard to processing waste at Kola NPP and the applicability of this technology, we have the “Fukushima”, I will say this: the scale of problems here at all different. Our problem in Japan – a huge number of low-level waste, which, on the one hand, entered the ground water, and on the other – keep in contact with high-level materials. We intend to solve their problem in two ways. First, let’s clean those liquid wastes that are in containers. For this we use a method that allows you to display all 63 species of radionuclides except tritium.

The second direction – creating in the soil and underground kinda ice wall to stop the penetration of radionuclides in underground utilities and groundwater.

Once again, I note that our problems in comparison with the objectives that decide on the Kola NPP, different origin and a completely different scale. But, nevertheless, I listened with great interest and colleagues looked at what and how they are at doing. THE CYNICAL DELUSION

In an ancient book that described the Laws of Civilizationa there was a reference to an historical oddity which could favorably be compared to the de facto state of war that the US and its partners have declared upon Russia. It is a known and accepted knowledge that nation states which engage in trade are statistically less likely to be at war.
By attempting to impose your hegemonic doctrines you have proven and indisputablely heightened the chances for the kind of war that all of

mankind and humanity  loses. Furthermore It is indisputable that your central bank is a privately held and owned bank which like its spawn of chase b of a and other large and well known cases of financial fraud and in many cases forced to pay large fines for their criminal misdeeds which is and was the tip of the ice berg and that iceberg has a  name.

A day that has caused more tears than stars in the heavens. The tears of all who have gone on before us who gallantly sacrificed their all for their children’s future of a world that has no place for state sponsored genocide.  The ugliness and brutality that took place on that day and in that place was “remarkable restraint” only in the mind of a nazi sociopath as in sammis/cari.

Years ago I can recall a criminal case when the defense attorney defended his client by illustrating that his defendant had shown “remarkable restraint” which had consisted in the fact that although he had murdered his family the gun he had used still had one bullet left in it .
